About Ioannina


Ioannina, also known as Giannena, is the largest city of Epirus and the capital of the Regional Unit of Ioannina with a population of nearly 70,000 inhabitants. They are located in the northwestern part of mainland Greece, in the center of the homonymous basin and are characterized by a rich cultural tradition and of course Lake Pamvotida, which is adjacent to the city. The prefecture is mainly mountainous and access is mainly by road with the routes of KTEL Ioannina.
